About InboxDome

InboxDome is a fast, privacy-focused temporary email service. Open the homepage, get a working disposable address instantly, receive messages live, copy verification codes, and let the inbox delete itself.

We built it because temporary email should be private by default (unguessable inbox links, not publicly enumerable addresses), safe to read (no scripts, no tracking pixels), and pleasant on a phone.

InboxDome is a DevDome product. It also includes a free developer API for automated email testing: create inboxes, wait for messages and OTPs, and assert on delivery from your test suite. See the API page.

Why receive-only

InboxDome can receive mail and cannot send it. That is a deliberate limit, not a missing feature. A disposable address that can send is a spam cannon, and services that offer one spend their lives on blocklists. Because ours only receives, an InboxDome address cannot be used to send anything to anybody, which is also why the address you hand out cannot be used to impersonate you.

How this is funded

By developers, not by you. The consumer inbox is free and stays free: no ads, no advertising network, no third-party analytics scripts, and nothing about your messages is sold, profiled or shared. There is no advertiser to keep happy, so there is no reason to keep your data.

The money comes from the developer API. Teams that test email in CI pay for volume, private domains and longer retention on paid plans. That side of the product pays for the domains, the infrastructure and the time, and the free inbox rides on the same infrastructure at close to zero marginal cost. Where that is not yet enough, DevDome covers the difference.

This matters for a practical reason: an ad-funded temporary inbox has an incentive to keep your data and to track you across the pages you visit. Ours has the opposite incentive. Deleting your messages quickly costs us nothing and is the entire point of the product.
