Every state here is derived from real signals, never asserted. Email delivery is only called operational when mail was actually accepted recently; with no recent evidence it is reported as unknown. Once a day we send a real message to every active receiving domain from an external provider and confirm it arrives through the full path, so delivery is proven end to end rather than inferred from our own logs. Incidents are recorded automatically when a receiving domain degrades, recovers, or is taken out of rotation.
